Text Box: In 1903, Henry Ford incorporated the Ford Motor Company, which introduced its first automobile, the Model A, in that same year. Ford’s company rolled out new car models each year, and each model was named with a letter of the alphabet. The famous Model T debuted in 1908, but was called a 1909 Ford. It sold for $850. By 1925, the price had dropped to $260 for the Runabout model. Popularly known as the Tin Lizzy, the Model T became one of the best-selling automobiles of all time. Ford sold more than 15 million before ending production in 1927. Powered by a 4-cylinder, 20 H.P. engine, it can go 40-50 mph. It has a 100-inch wheelbase and uses 30-inch wheels. Gas tank capacity is 10 gallons. The majority of T’s were painted black, but bright colors were available early and late in its production run.
