MODEL T FORD CLUB INTERNATIONAL, INC. FOUNDATION (MTFCIF)
SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
Any student from an accredited high school or its equivalent or an under graduate in an accredited school of higher learning is eligible to apply for the Model T Ford Club International Foundation (MTFCIF) Scholarship, providing the following:
1. The applicant must be a current member of the Model T Ford Club International (MTFCI) or be sponsored by a member in good standing and a current member with the (MTFCI) to be eligible.
2. The applicant shall submit the completed application and other requested material to the Chair of the Youth Committee by the designated date and at the designated address published in the Model T Times.
3. An application received after the published date will deem the application invalid.
4. The (MTFCIF) Board of Directors shall establish the rules and amount of scholarship.
5. The rules and dollar amount of the scholarship shall be published in the March-April issue of the Model T Times and may be changed from time to time by the (MTFCIF) Board of Directors.
6. The selection of the winner shall be done by two (2) outside individuals (MTFCI non-members) and shall conform to the rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service.
7. The Youth Committee shall announce the winner during the Awards Banquet of the Annual Summer Tour of the Model T Ford Club International (MTFCI).
8. The decision of the Youth Committee shall be final.
9. All applicants will receive an acknowledgement from the Youth Committee after the selection process is completed.
10. If an essay is required as part of the application process, efforts will
made to publish the winning essay in the Model T Times.
11. The scholarship recipient must attend an accredited school or college
of his/her choice beyond high school level.
12. A check will be made out to the recipient of the scholarship and the
school or college of his/her choice.
13. The selection process is as follows:
a. All essays received by the deadline will be held unopened until ten (10) days after the due date. At that time, all eligible applications will be taken to a local educational institution for review by one (1) history and one (1) English teacher/professor (MTFCI non-members) for selection of a winner. The decision of the educational professionals will be final. The essays, their envelopes and attachments will be forwarded back to the Model T Ford Club International Foundation Board along with written evaluations from the teachers/professors with their comments/explanations in selecting the winner.
