Got a problem with the Moto Meter on your T? When the Moto Meter is turned down tight, it is not facing the windshield. It is difficult to know how hot the engine is.
SIMPLE FIX: Go to the plumbing department of a hardware store. Find the thickest "O" ring (usually 5/32") that has a 2" Outside diameter. Remove and discard your radiator cap gasket and insert the 2" O-ring into the radiator neck. Reinstall the cap and Moto Meter. The cap can now be rotated to many places and still remain snug and leak free. It allows a wide range of adjustment, provides a perfect seal, and can be readjusted again and again as you add water.
